Gifted and Talented

The Lantern Program  -  Supporting the College's High Achievers

Trinity Catholic College's Lantern Programme supports students identified as being Gifted and Talented and high achievers, encouraging them in the attainment of excellence in their areas of strength.

In Years 7 - 10, there is provisioning for fast-paced, rigorous learning which fosters higher order thinking skills, extension and enrichment. The programme also supports those students for whom acceleration is an option.

Liaison with parents as well as provision of social and emotional support for students in Lantern classes is a feature of the programme. The College has a qualified Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator who co-ordinates the programme and supports staff in optimal delivery.
